Rob Caves
producer & editor

Rob Caves studied Film Production at Loyola Marymount University where he graduated in 2000. While there he started making Star Trek fan films with other eager students.

What started out as a hobby became a full-fledged side job when Hidden Frontier started production in July of 2000. Hidden Frontier did move beyond its simple beginnings and become more popular than ever in seasons 2 and 3.

Not only Executive Producer, but also Rob creates all the special effects and edits for Hidden Frontier. Indeed, one of Caves ongoing tasks is creating all the 3-D ships and space scenes that Hidden Frontier has received so much praise for, not an easy task considering each episode often requires upwards of 30 shots each. Rob Caves is certainly a jack-of-all-trades on Hidden Frontier. Filming takes place at his house. He converted the back room into a green screen studio. Prior to Hidden Frontier he worked as a Post-Production Assistant for 20th Century Fox, and as a Production Assistant for Stone Stanley Productions while in college.

When not making Hidden Frontier, Caves works as a Film/Video Editor in Hollywood, California. Having worked on Drag Queen Heist, he is very excited to join SkyAngel Films again to not only edit, but also produce its newest film, Begging For Change.
